“The choices we make, the way we live, the things we believe - the way we see life itself - are the result of the stories that we have accepted as truthful accounts of reality. Our modern world presents the story that we are personally liberated, no longer connected to anything beyond ourselves, free to do whatever we like. And, we have never been more unhappy."

“The Rescue Project proposes a simple question: What if there’s a different story - a story that engages people to answer the deepest cries of the human heart?”

The Rescue Project is an eight-week experience of community, conversation, prayer and the Gospel, including: meals, music and small-group discussion.

The Rescue Project - Testimonials

The Rescue Project, offered at St. Francis de Sales during Lent 2024 and at St. Philip during Advent 2024, was a huge success!  160 people - parishioners, non-parishioners, and non-Catholics - were enlightened, fed both spiritually and physically, discovered new friendships with other parishioners and neighbors, and grew in their relationship with Jesus.  Below are just a few testimonials from some who participated:

  • “The Rescue Project was truly a life changing experience. As a non-Catholic Christian who has been learning more about Gods call on our life through the Catholic Church, it has totally changed my worldview and I have never been more empowered than I am now after this experience. I highly recommend it to everyone, especially those on a faith journey home to the Catholic Church.” - R. B.

  • “The Rescue Project was everything I needed at a critical point in my faith journey. I was illuminated with, and overcome by, the powerful truths of Christs love.  It is a spiritual, love-fueled journey full of food, friendship, and fun - something everyone should experience!” - A. G.

  • “The Rescue Project offers enlightenment to everyone, no matter where they are in their faith.  For those who are exploring Christianity, Fr. Riccardo builds an irrefutable case for the existence of God and for the saving works of Jesus.  For those who are already disciples, he gives a toolbox full of answers to bring us closer to Jesus, and to help us be missionary disciples to others.” - J.
