Youth Faith Formation (YFF) at Our Lady of Hope Family of Parishes - Relational Ministry

Beginning in September, 2024, Our Lady of Hope Family of Parishes moved from our PSR/PREP model of youth catechesis to a relational ministry.  Our program, now called Youth Faith Formation (YFF) at both parishes, is based on a method of evangelization based on relationships.   These relationships, that are built between participants, as well as between participants and leaders, provide support and encouragement in living the Christian life despite all the challenges facing the Church today.  And of course the ultimate relationship our YFF program strives to  experience and foster is a an encounter with Jesus Christ.   Relational ministry affirms to those involved the reality of their human dignity and opens hearts to the possibility of a real relationship with the Lord, who they will meet repeatedly through genuine experiences of prayer.

Sunday Youth Faith Formation 2026-27 Schedule:

St. Francis 9:30 am- 10:45 am, St. Francis School classrooms
St. Philip: 10:00 am - 11:15 am, Church Undercroft

First Class:  Sunday, September 13, 2026

Confirmation, Archbishop Casey presiding: Wednesday, February 24, 2027, at St. Francis, 7:00 pm

First Holy Communion: 
St. Francis: Saturday, May 1, 2027, 5:00 pm Mass
St. Philip: Sunday, May 2, 2027, 11:30 pm Mass

Last Class:  Sunday, May 2, 2027

YFF meets most Sundays throughout the school year.  A complete calendar of scheduled classes will be provided at the beginning of the school year.

Participation in our YFF program is open to all registered members of Our Lady of Hope Family of Parishes.  Families registered at St. Philip or St. Francis may sign up for YFF classes and other youth events by contacting PJ Ehling at This email address is being protected from spambots.
